Chicago’s Senior Home Care and Family Education Center
If fortunate and healthy enough, almost everyone will be able to reach and enjoy their live’s later years. While most people expect this joyous period to occur for themselves or for someone in their family, it is still something that most people are not adequately able to plan for, nor is the knowledge readily available for those that might require home health care assistance.
As one of the most recognized and relied upon providers of senior home health care in Chicago, IL, Comfort Keepers is committed to assisting seniors to live a life of the highest possible quality in the comfort of their own homes. We also want them and their families to make the most of their retirement.

Through our Family Education Center, we share an abundance of information about senior care, particularly how to plan for it.
We provide recommendations for senior living options, as well as what important things should be considered prior to establishing in-home care or assisted living arrangements, and how to address each one. These include:
• Determining what type/s of care your senior loved one may need
• Recommended types of housing conducive for senior care
• The different types of home health care in Chicago, and how each one varies
• Setting the right expectations about home care
• The changing needs of seniors and how to address them
• Recommended products which support senior home care
Aside from these, we also share our experience and provide tips and information that address the more personal aspects of senior home care. We give family members suggestions on how to handle the initial conversation with a loved one regarding their senior care needs and preferences, and how to continue communicating with them about it as time progresses and some of their needs change.
Additionally, we share our advice on planning for and funding long term care, and how the family can address these, along with any associated legal matters. This includes selecting a home care program that fits your income yet adequately meets all of your senior loved one’s needs.
